The Employer's Responsibility to the Sabbath

Luke 17:1-2, Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur.  It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.

This bible verse gives the employer a responsibility towards making sure their employees have their day of rest.  This day of rest helps the employee function better so it is also a benefit to the employer to do this.  As an employer you are not only obligated to give your employees The Lord's day off unless exempted as written in the Catechism.  But, you also need to make sure they have reasonable means of actually taking it off.  If you work somebody 6 days per week 12 hours per day and only give them the Lord's Day off what do you think most people would do on the Lord's Day?  Most people would do their laundry and other household chores because on the other 6 days of the week they were too tired.  So you must give them means of doing household chores and making trips to the DMV and other government agencies they might need to make a trip too.  They need to be able to do their shopping and other stuff like that as well.  There are many different ways you can give your employees the reasonable ability to take The Lord's Day off.  Any practical way is morally acceptable.

I will welcome any suggestions from a Filipino who is currently living in the Philippines on how the Employers can offer their Employees reasonable means of taking the Sabbath off.
